I fell in love with set design…

...on my first job. The iconic 'Queer As Folk' for Channel 4 and RED Productions. To be able to take my teenage lived experiences and feed them into Russel T Davis script and characters - mind blown! Then to see that world coloured in, scaled up, lit up and filmed? The best of days, well mainly the best of nights....

From there I’ve always been drawn to character based dramas. To projects that demand detail and depth. To work with people who collaborate, inspire and always crave more.

Home is the North West of England, in Lancaster. I moved here to open a small hotel and took a bit of time away from the industry to look after my family. The hotel is now closed -you can only enjoy poaching eggs for so long. But I still love being so close to the Cumbrian landscape and am happiest in a Lake or eating cake.
